Chartered on 21st June 1969, the Rotary Club of Poona West is one of the leading clubs of Rotary District 3131. For over five decades, the Club has remained committed to the Rotary ideal of "Service Above Self", serving communities through meaningful, sustainable and impactful initiatives.
From education and healthcare to community development, environmental sustainability and youth empowerment, our projects are guided by a simple belief:

Over the years, the Club has undertaken numerous initiatives that have touched thousands of lives and created opportunities for individuals and communities to become healthier, more capable and self-reliant.
Building Foundations for a Better Future
Education has always been a key focus of Rotary Club of Poona West. Our initiatives include digital classrooms, science and computer laboratories, Happy Schools, and the transformation of more than 100 Anganwadis to create better learning environments for children.
Through Interact and Rotaract, we also engage young people in leadership, service and community action, helping nurture the next generation of responsible citizens.
Promoting Health, Dignity & Well-being
Our healthcare initiatives aim to make essential healthcare more accessible, particularly for underserved communities.
Projects have included support to rural primary health centres, cervical cancer vaccination drives, blood bank equipment, artificial limb distribution, and maternal and child healthcare.
Through these initiatives, we strive to improve health outcomes while restoring dignity, independence and quality of life.
Protecting Our Planet for Future Generations
We believe that community well-being and environmental sustainability go hand in hand.
Our initiatives include water conservation, rooftop solar installations, plastic reduction, sanitation and environmental awareness, encouraging communities to adopt sustainable practices and become responsible stewards of our planet.

Srujan is one of our signature initiatives, providing NGOs working with differently-abled individuals a platform to showcase and sell products created by their beneficiaries.
More than an exhibition, Srujan promotes dignity, self-reliance, entrepreneurship and social inclusion, enabling talent and ability to be recognized and valued by society.
